Today's mobile network architectures and air interface technologies do not provide sufficient flexibility to cope with the requirements of new 5G applications, such as low latency, high reliability, and high energy efficiency. To satisfy the above requirements, there will be a need for the development of advanced air interface technologies, signal processing technologies, and flexible network architectures to support the evolution. Besides the technical insights, the workshop will also serve as an active discussing and networking forum for participants.

The Workshop on 5G & Beyond - Enabling Technologies and Applications will be held in conjunction with ISCIT2017, Cairns (Great Barrier Reef), Australia.

The 5G-ETA workshop aims to stimulate innovative contributions to the topics, with emphasis on the fundamental limits, on the cross-layer interaction between the MAC and PHY layers, and on connection to future mobile network architectures.
