On behalf of the International Advisory Board, the Organizing Committee warmly invites you to participate to the 2nd International Symposium on Green Chemistry : Renewable carbon and Eco-efficient processes (ISGC-2) that will be held from May 21st-24th 2013 in La Rochelle, FRANCE.
After the first edition organized in Poitiers in 2003, our aim for this second event is to widen the scope of this symposium and to gather the most eminent scientists involved in the field of green chemistry in order to highlight the most innovative reactions and processes designed for a rational conversion of renewable carbon. Through ten plenary lectures and five keynotes from academic and industrial leaders in the field of green chemistry, ISGC2 will cover not only the most crucial problems arising from the conversion of renewable carbon but also the recent advances in the search of innovative processes for the conversion of biomass and wastes with high eco-efficiency. Hence, ISGC2 will cover the recent significant results in the field of lignocellulosic biomass, carbohydrates, vegetable oils, green solvents and chemical valorization of waste. Environmental impact of chemicals, eco-efficient processes and eco-design, other priorities of the Suschem platform roadmap will be also addressed.
A key objective of this international symposium is to provide an environment that facilitates widespread interdisciplinary communication. To this end, ISGC2 should offer to public and private scientists an ideal platform for sharing fundamental knowledge with industrial research and development.
We hope you will enjoy this unique moment to share your vision about green chemistry with other countries and to contribute to the emergence of new and sustainable processes for a greener world. We look forward seeing you at this occasion in this beautiful part of France.
