International Conference of Educational Innovation through Technology (EITT) provides a forum for researchers who study technology and education to publish research findings and exchange experiences in related topics. The conference is organized by Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET).
The mission of the SICET is to establish and strengthen academic and international connections, exchanges, research, and studies in educational technology for teaching and learning, as well as to promote the application of educational technology to Chinese educational settings. The SICET will observe the laws and regulations to its operation in the United States where it is registered.
The first EITT conference was successfully held at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China on August 10-12, 2012.
The second EITT will take place in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA on November 4-6, 2013. It is hosted jointly by Tsinghua University and Virginia Tech. It collaborates with the annual Educational Technology Leadership Conference (ETLC) which is sponsored by Virginia Tech's Center for Instructional Technology Solutions in Industry and Education. EITT and ETLC will share opening and closing ceremonies and keynotes presentations while the concurrent sessions will be separated.
ETLC brings together a wide range of leaders who are responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of e-learning, educational media, and technology programs. Division superintendents and principals, curriculum coordinators, staff development and administrative computing specialists, classroom teachers, and telecommunication professionals will benefit from the program and the opportunities to connect with their colleagues from across the Commonwealth. Coordinators of instructional technology, library media, distance learning, instructional television, and instructional computing applications once again will find this event a valuable source of information and innovative ideas.
