活动简介

We welcome submissions for the 5th IEEE Integrated STEM Education Conference (ISEC ’15), which will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Friend Center, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ. ISEC is known for presenting cutting-edge research and experiences with integrated approaches to the study of science, math, and technology through experiences and activities based in engineering and other design disciplines. This year’s theme is Creating a Culture of Achievement. While all papers on methods of and experience with integrating education (or interdisciplinary education) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) studies are welcome, we are very interested in papers on STEaM initiatives that have resulted in improved student performance in STEM studies, especially among students from underrepresented populations in the disciplines. Please submit your work for review from Wednesday, October 1, 2014 to 11:59 pm EST Sunday, November 30, 2014. Submission instructions and templates are available on the conference's web site. Your work must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Your submission will be one of the following: a full paper (4 - 6 pages) or posters by K-12 students (may include a paper of 1 - 3 pages for inclusion in the proceedings). Acceptances will be sent no later than Sunday, January 4, 2015. Information on student travel awardswill be available by that date as well. The deadline for submitting a revised paper is Sunday, February 1, 2015. All accepted submissions will be scheduled for presentation at the conference and included in the conference proceedings. All presented papers will be submitted for archival in IEEE Xplore. We are also very pleased to announce that Christine M. Cunningham, PhD, founder and director of Engineering is Elementary, Vice President of Research, Boston Museum of Science, and a Fellow of ASEE and Sonpreet Bhatia, co-founder and CP&TO of MobileROI, will be our keynote speakers. We will also have a special presentation by Saurabh Sinha, PhD, VP of the IEEE EAB and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of Johannesburg as well as featuring a Town Hall/Unconference "all hands" session where YOU drive the content.
