The 12th ICBEM conference will be held in Hong Kong, from 25th – 28th May, 2016. Previous ICBEM meetings of this series have been held in Helsinge (Denmark, 2014), Asilomar (California, 2012), Budapest (Hungary, 2010), and Beijing (China, 2008). Proceedings of past peer-reviewed meetings are published in special issues of Journal of Neurochemistry and we are planning to keep in this tradition.

The aim of this ICBEM conference series is to bring together leading experts, researchers and young emerging neuroscientists worldwide who are interested in the diverse and varied aspects of brain energy metabolism. The three-and-a-half-day program will include lectures by invited speakers, student/fellow presentations, poster sessions, interactive discussion sessions, and free time for informal discussions with colleagues. We hope to provide a platform for our participants to actively exchange ideas and establish contacts and future collaborations from around the world throughout the conference.
