The business world is rapidly changing today with competition becoming fierce among companies in every sector. The key differentiator in business growth, development and survival for firms is dependent largely on its capability to harness and manage its Human resources. Human Resource Management (HRM) is expected to play the role of a strategic business partner by dealing with vital issues of managing the talent pipeline to align it with business processes, systems, structures, and policies, to leverage competitiveness and sustainability. The emphasis today is manage HR functions and policies in a manner such that organizations can be provided with a unique pool of people who can continuously take the organization to new levels of growth and sustainability.

In the above backdrop, SDMIMD is organizing its 5th International Conference on Managing Human Resources at the Workplace, on 9 and 10 December, 2016, at SDMIMD campus, Mysuru.
