We are happy to announce that Department of Clinical Psychology, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru will be hosting an International Conference on Contemporary Trends in Clinical Psychology Training, Research and Practice, from 17-19th November 2016. Professional training course in Clinical Psychology started in the year 1955 at the department in NIMHANS and in year 2015 we complete 60 years of running a professional course at the department. The institute has contributed many well trained skilled and renowned professional to the country. The conference is marked to celebrate 60 years of training in clinical psychology at NIMHANS.
NIMHANS is an Institute of National Importance, with multidisciplinary approach towards patient care, and is known for service, human resource development and research. The Department of Clinical Psychology is one of the pioneering departments with specialized training in specific areas of clinical psychology. The training in the department is known for its quality and rigour. We have conceptualised the scientific programme which will be an enriching professional learning and provide directions for enhancing training in clinical psychology. The scientific deliberations will include plenary sessions, symposia, workshops, panel discussions, invited lectures, and poster presentation sessions on the conference theme.
