活动简介
The 16th International Symposium on Metastable, Amorphous and Nanostructured Materials (ISMANAM 2009) will be held in Beijing on July 5-9, 2009.
The pioneer ISMANAM was held in Grenoble in 1994, then followed by the symposia in Quebec ('95), Rome ('96), Sitges ('97), Wollongong ('98), Dresden ('99), Oxford (2000), Ann Arbor ('01), Seoul ('02), Foz do Iguacu ('03), Sendai ('04), Paris ('05), Warsaw ('06), Corfu Island ('07) and Buenos Aires ('08). During these years, its scope has been significantly widened. The materials covered in the Symposium include, but are not limited to, amorphous (metallic glasses), nanocrystalline, quasicrystalline and metastable crystalline ones. The form spans from nanosized particles, through thin films, powders to bulk elements, including composites and nanocomposites. Various aspects of the materials science will be discussed: synthesis and processing, characterization of structure and properties, theoretical modeling, performance and applications, etc.
The program of the Symposium will comprise invited lectures from the distinguished scientists, oral presentations and poster presentations. Researchers in the fields of materials science, physics, chemistry and engineering are encouraged to contribute to the Symposium.
The Symposium official language will be English.
The proceedings will be published in the Journal of Alloys and Compounds.
