Every three years, the International Federation of Translators FIT (Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs) holds its flagship industry event choosing a different international host each time. Following successful events in Shanghai in 2008, San Francisco in 2011, and the hugely successful XX FIT World Congress 2014 in Berlin, FIT is pleased to have the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators as its hosts for 2017.
The XXI FIT World Congress will take place in Brisbane, Australia from 3 – 5 August 2017.
The world is welcome to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, where interpreters, translators and terminologists, their clients, Industry Stakeholders, representatives of governmental authorities, university teachers and students will explore industry themes, hone their craft and network with international colleagues at the beautiful Brisbane Riverside Cultural Precinct.
