EPIA is a well-established international conference on Artificial Intelligence, supported by Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence (APPIA). The purpose of the conference is to promote research in AI and scientific exchange among AI researchers, practitioners, scientists, and engineers in related disciplines.
EPIA conferences have been organized since 1989. EPIA 2017 will be held in Porto, one of the best destinations in Europe. The scientific program will be composed of a group of thematic tracks. Submitted papers will be subject to a rigorous revision process (the acceptance rate in previous editions has been around 30%). As in previous EPIA’s, accepted papers will be published in a Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence volume, published by Springer — “Progress in Artificial Intelligence”. Additionally, a special Journal Track will be included in EPIA 2017, for which accepted papers will be published in a journal special issue and presented at the conference.
As in past editions, EPIA 2017 will feature a number of leading researchers in AI as invited speakers. The conference will also include a doctoral symposium, a poster session, AI competitions and tutorials on specific topics.
The following thematic tracks on AI are included in the technical program:
ABM4Crime – Agent-Based Modelling for Criminological Research
