This workshop offered January 18-20, 2016 introduces fundamentals of High Performance Computing (HPC) simulation on the DIY clustering.
The identification of novel materials with improved properties and performance can be utilized with the accuracy and predictive power of material simulations. The enormous volume of computations and of data produced by them will require a high-performance computing (HPC) on novel computer architectures and platforms and on high-throughput computing (HTC) on heterogeneous and geographically distributed computational resources. The challenge is here to run and manage an ever-increasing number of concurrent simulations (HTC) of ever-increasing size at an escalating speed (HPC).
