The Fluid Dynamics Conference covers all aspects of fluid dynamics, particularly those relevant to aerospace applications. Topics range from basic research and development to applied and advanced technology, including novel experimental and computational observations, interdisciplinary papers that bridge theoretical, experimental, and numerical approaches, and papers that provide innovative concepts and analyses, or especially new insights into flow physics.
Experimental studies or numerical simulations of fundamental fluid flows (unsteady flows; vortex dominated flows; jets, wakes, separated flows; mixing and shear layers etc.)
Multiphysics and cross-disciplinary fluid dynamics (fluid-structure interaction; multiphase flow; acoustics; combustion and reacting flows; aero optics etc.)
Hypersonic and supersonic flows; shock/boundary layer interactions
Boundary-layer stability and transition
Unsteady fluid dynamics and unsteady aerodynamics
Low-Re flows and bio-inspired flows
Applications of fluid mechanics (aerodynamics of wings, blades, and bodies; flight mechanics; energy and/or power generation systems; bio systems; pharmaceutical applications; micro-gravity environments etc.)
Flow control (unsteady flows; separated and attached flows; laminar, transitional and turbulent boundary layers; mixing and shear layers; aero-optic flow control; bio-inspired flow control etc.)
Measurement diagnostics, sensor and actuator design for flow control
Flow control integration for flight control in configuration aerodynamics
Flow control of translating, rotating and reciprocating systems
Feedback sensors and systems in flow control
