The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Speciation is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. This two-day meeting is followed by the Gordon Research Conference on Speciation, co-chaired by Åke Brännström and Rebecca Safran, and participants are encouraged to attend and present at both. As with all Gordon Conferences, these meetings will strongly emphasize the presentation of unpublished results with ample time for discussion and networking.
The focus of this meeting is to integrate, synthesize, and build bridges across directions and approaches in speciation research. It aims to facilitate the involvement and collaboration of early-career scientists at the forefront of modern speciation research. Participants of the GRS will present their research and engage in scientific discussions, thereby gaining knowledge and confidence for their participation in the Gordon Research Conference on Speciation. This is a unique opportunity for young researchers to present their work, share ideas, and build connections with their colleagues and with respected authorities and leading international experts on speciation research.
